Trespassing Arrest. Cole T. Riddick, 36, of Quail Ridge Drive was arrested on a defiant trespassing charge at McDonald’s in the Plainsboro Plaza shopping center on Schalks Crossing Road. Officer D. McCall said Riddick was arrested after being asked by management to leave the restaurant and refusing. He had previously been told by management and police not to return to McDonald’s or he would be arrested and charged with defiant trespassing.

Burglary Arrest. Three Plainsboro teens were arrested for burglarizing the home of a Linden Lane resident on December 26. Police said they were dispatched on a report of a burglary in progress after the victim returned home from an out-of-state trip and a male was standing in his doorway who was not authorized to be in his home. The teen fled out the back door after seeing the homeowner.

A police investigation revealed that three male juveniles who were known to the victim had obtained a key to the house and used it to smoke marijuana while the victim was away. Nothing was stolen from the house, and all three juveniles were charged with burglary.

Vandalism. A resident of Mershon Lane was the victim of vandalism overnight December 13 and 14. Someone broke the passenger-side rear view mirror on the victim’s car causing $575 worth of damage.

Steak And Hoagie Restaurant on Plainsboro Road was vandalized on December 15. Someone shattered the building’s side window by throwing a trash can through it. Damage was estimated at $400.

Thefts. Signature Property Group was the victim of a theft on Sayre Drive. Someone cut the piping and stole an irrigation backflow device valued at $700 on December 20.

The main valve to the sprinkler system at Courtyard by Marriott hotel was stolen on December 27. The valve, located at the back of the building, was valued at $2,000.

Jewelry belonging to a Tennyson Drive resident was stolen between May 13 and December 29. The victim came to police headquarters and reported that someone had stolen $6,300 worth of jewelry from her personal collection, but was unaware of exactly when the theft took place.

Drug Arrest. A 17-year-old Plainsboro female was arrested December 17 on a marijuana possession charge. Officer Richard Wolak said he was dispatched to a Tamarron Drive apartment for a welfare check and did not get an answer at the door.

The officer said that when he went around the rear and looked in a bedroom window, he observed the juvenile attempting to hide a bag of marijuana under the mattress. Further investigation revealed that she was in possession of a small plastic bag containing one gram of marijuana. She was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing. He mother was contacted and the girl was released into her custody.

Erick A. Morel, 19, of Jersey City was arrested December 17 on a drug possession charge. Officer Arthur Gant said Morel was a rear-seat passenger in a car stopped on Route 1 near Harrison Street for speeding. The officer searched the vehicle after smelling the odor of marijuana coming from inside. Gant said found under 50 grams of the substance and determined it belonged to Morel.

Joseph T. Williams, 23, of Piscataway was arrested December 16 on drug possession charges. Officer Patrick Miller said he stopped Williams on College Road East at Robert Wood Johnson Drive for speeding and found him to be in possession of prescription medication, marijuana under 50 grams, and drug paraphernalia.

Six maintenance workers were arrested on drug possession charges after police found them allegedly smoking marijuana outside the Windrows assisted living facility.

Arrested were Dominique V. Bobbitt, 25, Carmen U. Campbell, 49, Michael C. Davis, 35, Shanta B. Hayes, 33, Benny L. James, 39, and Shakema T. Stanley, 30, all of Trenton.

Officers from the department’s traffic and detective bureaus began surveillance of the parking lot behind the Windrows building after receiving a tip that people were meeting there in the afternoon to smoke marijuana.

Police said that on December 20 they found the six individuals in a 1999 Plymouth Breeze and a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe to be in possession of raw marijuana, burnt marijuana cigaretes, and drug paraphernalia. They were transported to police headquarters, charged with marijuana possession, and released pending a future court date.

Brandon M. Johnson, 21, of Plainfield was arrested December 30 on a drunk driving charge. Police said Johnson was stopped on Route 1 south for speeding and was found to be in possession of marijuana under 50 grams.

DWI Arrests. Julio Jaquez, 39, of Perth Amboy was arrested December 18 on a drunk driving charge. Police said Jaquez was stopped on Route 1 north for speeding and was found to be intoxicated.

Juan Garcia-Gracida, 24, of Jamesburg was arrested December 18 on a drunk driving charge. Garcia-Gracida was stopped on Route 1 north for erratic driving and was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Nikolas A. Borodin, 21, of Monmouth Junction was arrested December 31 on a drunk driving charge. He was stopped on Tamarron Drive for failure to properly signal a turn and was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Michael C. Daube, 29, of Monmouth Junction was arrested January 1 on a drunk driving charge. Police said Daube was stopped on Route 1 north for speeding and was found to be intoxicated.

Allen J. Weil was arrested on a drunk driving charge on January 1. According to police Weil was stopped on Scudders Mill Road at Schalks Crossing Road for making an improper U-Turn and was found to be intoxicated.
