Hate Crime. An employee of Turner Construction found a noose hanging at the construction site of the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro hospital around 7:50 a.m. on July 29.

According to Officer Joseph Breyta, the noose was directed toward an employee of the construction company. At the same construction site, a portable toilet had a “White Power” drawing as well as a swastika symbol inside. The incident is under investigation by Plainsboro police detectives and Turner Construction Company.

Fireworks Possession. Gregory Kocher, 43, of Silvers Lane, was charged August 8 with possession of fireworks and failure to report a dangerous fire. Officer Joseph Diggs said police were called to a brush fire behind 11 Silvers Lane. Diggs said he arrived on scene and saw four juveniles trying to put out the blaze with their toys. Kocher, the homeowner, told Diggs he gave the fireworks to the children to ignite while he supervised them.

Fraud. A resident of Marion Drive was the victim of fraud on July 29 at 9 a.m. Officer Scott Beatty said someone tried to steal $2,999 from the victim through a fraudulent online purchase through Paypal. The victim’s bank found the request for funds to be suspicious, stopped the transfer, and contacted the victim, who reported it to police, Beatty said. The incident is being further investigated by Paypal’s resolution center.

Harassment. Someone called the Can Do Fitness Center on July 23 and impersonated a female, with the intent to harass an employee, said Officer Matt Baumann. The victim did not sign a criminal complaint.

Simple Assault. Maurice Davis, 22, of Hunters Glen Drive, was charged July 20 with simple assault and harassment. Officer Mathieu Baumann said he responded to a business on Hunters Glen Drive for a report of a disturbance between two occupants of the business. He said he found that Davis had spit at a 38-year-old female victim and struck her in the face with a closed fist. He said Davis also pinched her and verbally threatened her with physical harm. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Criminal Mischief. A resident of Sayre Drive was the victim of criminal mischief. Officer Jason Mandato said that between 3 and 7 p.m., someone threw eggs at the victim’s residence. The estimated cost of cleanup and repair is $50.

A resident of Hamilton Lane was the victim of criminal mischief between July 24 and 25. Officer Mathieu Baumann said someone damaged the rear driver side tire of the victim’s car, causing $100 in damage.

Identity Theft. A resident of Drayton Lane was the victim of identity theft between June 16 and July 29. Officer Mathieu Baumann said an unknown person used the victim’s social security number to obtain employment out of the state.

The Walker Gordon Lab Corp. was the victim of identity theft on July 23. Officer Kevin Lowery said that at approximately 4:30 p.m., someone stole the victim’s credit card information and made two purchases over the Internet worth a combined $1,035. The victim was notified by the credit card company, which did not process the transaction.

Burglary/Theft. A resident of Hampshire Drive was the victim of theft between August 5 and 6. Officer Arthur Gant said someone broke into the victim’s car and stole a Garmin GPS worth $150. There were no signs of forced entry.

A resident of Hampshire Drive was the victim of theft between August 6 and 8. Officer Mathieu Baumann said someone stole a pair of binoculars from the victim’s unlocked car. The estimated value of the binoculars is $50.

Someone stole $140 in cash on August 8 from a purse belonging to a waitress at Ruby Tuesday while she left the purse in the manager’s office during her shift, said Officer Jason Mandato.

Two residents of Hampshire Drive were the victims of burglary and theft between midnight and 6:30 a.m. on August 6. Officer Richard S. Wolak said someone broke into the first victim’s car and stole an iPod Touch and $20 worth of cash. The total value of the stolen items was $270. Someone also broke into another resident’s car and stole miscellaneous photography equipment worth $4,206. The thief also stole front headrests equipped with DVD monitors worth $550 from that car.

A Marion Drive resident was the victim of theft between 4 and 5:30 p.m. on August 2. Officer Joseph Breyta said someone stole the victim’s 26-inch, dark blue men’s 21-speed mountain bicycle from the Plainsboro Municipal Center Complex, when it was left unattended and unlocked. The bicycle was worth $150.

A resident of Pheasant Hollow Drive was the victim of theft between 5:35 and 6:35 p.m. on August 1. Officer Scott Beatty said someone stole a load of laundry from a dryer located in a laundry room within the Pheasant Hollow complex.

A resident of Quail Ridge Drive was the victim of vehicle theft between July 30 and August 1. Officer Kevin Lowery said someone stole the victim’s 2000 red Ford Mustang from the parking lot near the victim’s residence while the victim was away for the weekend.

A resident of Deer Creek Drive was the victim of theft on July 16 sometime between 9:51 a.m. and 6 p.m. Officer Kevin Lowery said someone removed a Fed-Ex package, which had been delivered that morning to the victim’s doorway. The package contained a Blue Ray player worth approximately $130.

A second-floor resident of Quail Ridge Drive was the victim of burglary and theft between 8 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. on July 21. Corporal Russell Finkelstein said someone broke into the residence and stole the victim’s computer monitor and jewelry.

Two residents of Pheasant Hollow Drive were the victims of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief between July 23 and 24. Officer Mathieu Baumann said someone broke into two cars. Both cars had their front windows broken. Their GPS units that were mounted on the windshields, were stolen. The total value of the stolen items was $350, while total damage was $300.

A resident of Mapleton Road was the victim of theft on July 27. Corporal Eamon Blanchard said that sometime between July 26 and 27, the resident’s MIDCO garbage can, worth $100, was stolen from the front of the home.

Drug Arrests. A juvenile from West Windsor was charged August 8 with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Officer Joseph DiGeronimo said police were called to Pond View Park by an off-duty police officer who was fishing in the area. When he got there, DiGeronimo said three juveniles and one adult tried to leave the scene, but prevented them from leaving. Upon investigation, one of the juveniles was charged with the marijuana possession charge and also possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vance E. Williams, 24, of Monmouth Junction, was charged August 6 with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Corporal Russell Finkelstein said he stopped Williams on Schalks Crossing Road for failure to stop at a stop sign and found him to be in possession of marijuana. He was also charged with possession of paraphernalia, failure to stop at a stop sign, and possession of a controlled substance in a motor vehicle.

Underage Consumption. Irene Ramirez, 20, of Pheasant Hollow Drive was charged July 24 with underage consumption of an alcoholic beverage. Officer Thomas Larity said he saw a female bicyclist erratically traveling on Plainsboro Road, stopped her, and found her to be intoxicated.

DWI Arrests. Wilson V. Rodriguez, 31, of Philadelphia was charged August 8 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Arthur Gant said he stopped him on Route 1 South for speeding and found he was intoxicated. He was also charged with reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, and failure to keep right.

Nellie Marinnie, 39, of Lawrenceville, was charged August 1 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Art Gant said she failed to maintain a lane on Scudders Mill Road, and that he stopped her and found she was driving while intoxicated. She was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, obstructed view, and refusal to submit to a breath test.

Christopher J. Martinez, 18, of Hamilton Lane, was charged July 17 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Timothy McMahon said he saw him enter the exit lane of Walker Gordon Drive. He said he stopped him and found him to be driving while intoxicated under the legal age of 21. He said he also found him in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Martinez was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, and maintenance of lamps.

Wei Wang, 29, of Hampshire Drive, was charged August 3 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Joseph Breyta said a motorist reported a possible intoxicated driver traveling on Scudders Mill Road. The motorist remained on the phone with the communications officer and provided updated locations until Breyta spotted the vehicle on Hampshire Drive, he said. Breyta said he stopped him and found him to be driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, and careless driving.

Kaitlyn E. Pohler, 23, of Ravens Crest Drive, was charged July 24 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Richard S. Wolak said he stopped her on Dey Road for failing to maintain a lane and found her to be intoxicated. She was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and failure to signal a turn.

Isheree N. Candelaria, 19, of Union, was charged July 24 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Martin McElrath said he stopped her on Dey Road for failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to maintain a lane and found she was intoxicated. She was also charged with reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, and failing to maintain a lane.

Nina N. Jackson, 25, of Monmouth Junction, was charged July 28 with driving while intoxicated. Officer Thomas Larity said he was called to Scotts Corner Road for a report of an accident and found that Jackson had fled the scene and did not report the accident to police. He said patrol officers were able to locate Jackson’s car on Brentwood Lane and later found Jackson to be intoxicated. She was also charged with reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, failure to maintain a lane, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
